Mission Trips
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.
Matthew 28:19
IMI exists to share the powerful gospel of who Jesus is and what He did for mankind — and a mission trip puts that gospel in your hands, whether you swing a hammer, tutor a child, or coach a soccer team.
Why we go
The gospel with its sleeves rolled up
Every City of Refuge was built by people who showed up. The children at the Honduras campus are housed, fed, and educated because missionaries and short-term teams poured their vacations, their skills, and their prayers into a hillside near Comayagua. When you go, you step into that same story — and you come home changed by it.
You do not need to be a preacher. Teams serve wherever their hands are useful: building walls, planting fields, sorting donations, sewing, tutoring students, making art and music, playing soccer, volleyball, swimming, and wrestling with the kids, sharing the gospel in nearby villages, cooking, teaching — and yes, preaching, if that is your gift.
Where you can serve
Two destinations, one mission
International
Honduras — the City of Refuge
Serve on the flagship campus where 90 children live and learn. Honduras trips are a great fit for first-timers, for families with young children, and for older travelers — the campus is established, the staff is seasoned, and there is meaningful work at every energy level, from farm chores to story time.

Missouri — hands-on work at home
No passport required. USA trips to Missouri focus on construction, landscaping, and cleaning — practical work that supports IMI’s stateside ministry, including the businesses that fund safe houses for trafficking survivors.

Bring the skills you already have
